Corporate & Commercial: The firms activities cover the entire suite of corporate transactions of note in Botswana, including mergers and acquisitions (for example, advising Barclays Bank PLC on the Botswana issues arising from the Barclays ABSA merger, the acquisition by Stanbic of Investec Banks operations in Botswana and the restructuring of Andisa Capital Botswana) and schemes of arrangement (for example, Securicor). 

Capital Markets: The firm has been lead counsel to Stanbic, Barclays and Botswana Building Society in their respective medium term note programmes, the aggregate value of which is BWP3 Billion. The firm is set to continue rendering advice at the forefront of capital market development. 

Finance: The firm remains a destination of choice in respect of large finance transactions. It was retained as counsel to Barclays Bank PLC in a US$75 Million loan transaction in the mining sector and by Barclays Capital in various lending transactions in Botswana in excess of BWP100 Million. The firm also recently assisted BIFM Capital in closing transactions in excess of BWP450 Million. In addition, the firm has been appointed as lead legal adviser to Botswana Power Corporation in its proposed US$600 Million expansion project.
